Who Owns Copyright?

Copyright regarding photography is really quite simple. The photographer who pushed the button 📸 owns the copyright, for their life and 25 years afterwards! Purchasing an image license does not signify a transfer of title, intellectual property or copyright ownership: all images remain, at all times the property and © Michelle Terlato Photography.

Private Use ONLY

High Resolution Digital Images purchased here on my website are for the sole purpose of personal/private use only. PERSONAL USE (i.e. non-commercial activity) They may be posted on personal social media platforms only.

They are NOT 🛑 to be used for commercial/advertising /sponsorship purposes or handed onto a third party.

Commercial Use

If you wish to use an image for advertising or commercial purposes, depending on the requirement will determine the value. If you think the image will help promote your brand, your image, your business or your product then rates are as follows:-

Social Media ONLY for use ONLY on social media sites, typically allows for posting, sharing, and displaying photos within the platform's context $99* Image delivered in JPEG once payment is received.

Commercial Restricted Use: A restricted license limits the ways a photo can be used, such as only for personal use or within a specific context adveritisng and commercial use but the Photographer MUST be mentioned/credited otherwise the higher Unrestricted Fee will apply $195* Image delivered in JEP or TIFF once payment is received

Commercial Unrestricted: The photo can be used for any purpose, including commercial use, once license is paid to the copyright owner. Using a photo for commercial purposes (advertising, marketing, etc.) where acknowledgement or credit to photographer is not required $250* Image delivered in JEP or TIFF once payment is received.

Please do not give the image away to your friends, your instructors, your sponsors or use on your business website without contacting me for a commercial rate as then it is considered an ‘advertising image’ and an Invoice will be generated.

If images are used without purchase and/or permission they are considered stolen property. Legal action will be taken accordingly. Let’s hope it will never come to this. 🤦‍♀️
